Play and Materials
This lesson showed me how simple materials can deeply support a child's development. I remembered playing with everyday items like cardboard, fabric scraps, and sticks to create imaginary worlds—without needing fancy toys. Now I see how open-ended, natural, and recycled materials can foster creativity, problem-solving, and growth across all areas of development. In the future, I want to use these kinds of materials in my classroom, reflecting children's backgrounds and encouraging collaboration. Everyday objects are more than just things—they’re tools for endless learning and imagination.
